About Our Client

Our client is the largest independent paint dealer in the US, with a strong presence across 12 states and over 100 stores. They are a rapidly expanding company committed to a supportive team culture and strong customer relationships. We re partnering with them to identify a Regional Sales Manager to join their team in Tampa, FL!

What You Will Do

  • Oversee all sales operations within the designated region.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base.
  • Motivate and train the sales team, and promote weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales objectives for each team member.
  • Achieve sales goals through the acquisition and development of new customers and the expansion of the product line within the existing customer base.
  • Establish new accounts by discovering business opportunities and calling on new customers.
  • Work with customers to better understand their business needs and goals.
  • Give product recommendations, application instructions, and quote competitive pricing on coatings for architectural, commercial, and industrial fields.
  • Place orders on behalf of customers and follow up to ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain regular contact with customers to understand needs and identify business opportunities.
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems and developing solutions.
  • Ensure all internal reporting is completed in a timely fashion with correct information.
  • Encourage and develop a team culture with team members.
  • Actively establish and build strong relationships with external and internal partners.
  • Participate in the department hiring, promotion, and review process while managing, mentoring, and improving staff performance.
  • Conduct ride-alongs and support the team of Account Managers 3-4 days a week in the field.
  • Utilize the internal CRM system for reporting tools, real-time numbers, POS, invoices, and YTD totals.

Who You Are

  • Must reside in the Tampa Bay area.
  • Must have 3-5 years of industry experience in specifying and selling architectural coatings.
  • Specialized selling of industrial, wood, and protective coatings is beneficial.
  • Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience leading a sales team.
  • Must be able to travel when necessary.
  • Must be able to apply for NACE CIP LV 1 certification in the future, if not already achieved.
  • Proven experience as a sales manager, or sales and marketing director.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Strong desire to achieve top results with a positive can-do demeanor.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate and close deals.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
  • Ability to excel at product knowledge, presentation skills, and building client relationships.
  • Commitment to ethical behavior and willingness to adhere to company policies.
  • Able to pass a drug screen, background, and MVR check.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record (no DUI or drug charges in the last 7 years).
  • Possesses drive, grit, and a competitive desire to win.
  • Education:
  • College degree is preferred, but tenure and experience are prioritized over a degree.
