SAP Commerce Cloud Senior Engineer

Multiple Cities, US

Employment Type: Permanent Position Function: Sales Job Number: 16768294

Job Description

About Our Client

Our client is a premier, multi-billion-dollar technology distributor with over a century of operational stability. As a large-scale, employee-owned organization, they partner directly with global technology manufacturers to deliver hardware, software, and integrated solutions to partners nationwide. The culture is rooted in long-term ownership, collaboration, and a strong commitment to work-life balance.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer SAP Commerce Cloud to serve as a high-level technical advisor and architect for commerce initiatives. This is a critical leadership role where you will spend approximately 80% of your time on leadership and advisory focus and 20% on hands-on development. You will serve as the "technical voice of reason," ensuring the scalability, performance, and long-term stability of a platform that is central to the organization's digital transformation.

What You Will Do

  • Develop, enhance, and support enterprise-level SAP Commerce Cloud solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance, architectural oversight, and best practice recommendations to internal teams.
  • Collaborate closely with SAP functional teams, integration engineers, and external partners.
  • Support and contribute across multiple SAP implementations to ensure platform integrity.
  • Deliver high-performance, scalable commerce solutions that align with the broader modernization roadmap.

Who You Are

  • Expert Developer: You have current, hands-on experience with the latest versions of SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris/CCv2).
  • Seasoned Engineer: You possess a senior-level background and have successfully supported multiple SAP implementations.
  • Technical Proficiency: You ideally have experience with Java development, API creation, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ownership Mindset: You operate as a technical leader rather than a task-based contributor, focusing on long-term platform health.
  • Authorized & Resident: You are a US Citizen or Green Card holder residing in an approved state for fully remote work.
The Ideal Candidate is a senior-level technical leader who can drive best practices and architecture decisions for a large-scale SAP environment. You are likely experienced in high-volume technology or retail environments and can identify technical risks before they impact the integration timeline. You are a consultant-minded engineer who excels at being a "check and balance" for platform scalability while still being willing to get hands-on when necessary.

Why Join the Team?

This organization offers a rare level of stability and a unique Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), allowing you to become a co-owner in a billion-dollar enterprise without any required employee contribution. In addition to a competitive base salary, the benefits package includes comprehensive medical/dental/vision coverage, a 401k with company match, and 18 days of PTO. Other perks include tuition reimbursement and allowances for office supplies/equipment.
