The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Sales & Business Development Representative to manage a high-potential territory. This full-time, exempt role is crucial for driving new business within the custom industrial crating, specialized packing, and logistics compliance sectors. The position reports to the Regional Operational Manager and offers a competitive salary range plus commissions.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities for specialized industrial crating and packing services.
  • Create persuasive proposals and engaging presentations tailored to client needs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (operations, compliance, customer service) to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain and strengthen client relationships to encourage long-term partnerships.
  • Track and analyze sales performance using Dynamic Business Central and other sales system/tools.
  • Actively support marketing and outreach initiatives to drive brand awareness and lead generation.
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and community events to promote the company and its products or services.
  • Partner with Marketing and Account Executives to develop strategic approaches for account attainment in defined markets.
  • Educate clients about service terminology, features, and benefits to enhance understanding and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage client accounts effectively, ensuring compliance with company policies and high levels of client satisfaction.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of outside sales experience, preferably in industrial packaging, custom crating, cargo services, or specialized logistics support.
  • Strong understanding of industrial crating, packing for transit, or related technical services.
  • Strong sales track record and customer service orientation.
  • Proficient in MS Office; comfortable with CRM and proposal tools.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% between Houston, Dallas, and Atlanta, as needed.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance for specialized or dangerous goods is a strong plus.
  • Possess excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • A strategic thinker with strong planning and organizational abilities.

This person is goal-oriented, self-motivated, and adept at building strong, long-term client relationships. They are comfortable representing the company in customer-facing environments, including on-site consultations and industry networking events, and are skilled at identifying customer needs related to safe industrial packaging, compliance, and logistics solutions for domestic and international transport.
