Our client is a rapidly expanding, entrepreneurial Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) company, founded in 2021. The company has quickly scaled its operations, evolving from a small startup to a global business, including the acquisition of an operation in the Dominican Republic with over 3,000 employees. The Opportunity

This is a high-visibility, independent Chief of Staff position reporting directly to the CEO. The primary purpose is to serve as the CEO's executive proxy, acting as an extension of his presence across the organization to enable him to focus on high-level strategy. This role will drive operational follow-through, manage cross-functional communication, and ensure the execution of key initiatives such as Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), demand planning, and ERP implementation.

What You Will Do

  • Act as the CEO's proxy in internal and external meetings, gathering updates on key performance indicators (KPIs), project statuses, and strategic initiatives.
  • Oversee operational tasks and coordinate effectively across multiple business functions, serving as a central point of communication.
  • Ensure high-priority initiatives, including S&OP, demand planning, ERP implementation, and governance processes (like board meeting prep), stay on track and are proactively communicated.
  • Regularly interface with key stakeholders, including the CFO, investors, and legal counsel.
  • Triage information, bring critical matters back to the CEO, and execute on his direction, with the potential to assume increasing decision-making authority over time.
  • Manage sensitive communications and operational challenges with high discretion and emotional intelligence.

Who You Are

  • Impeccable communication skills, comfortable communicating across diverse stakeholders, including legal counsel.
  • Specific experience in the CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) industry with a focus on Operations and Governance.
  • Proven high Emotional Intelligence (EQ), conflict resolution skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively under pressure.
  • A confident professional who can stand firm and resolve conflict.
  • Familiarity with standard business tools including Microsoft 365, Outlook, Slack, and general ERP software.
  • Strong preference for Florida-based candidates who can maintain a frequent, in-office presence.
  • Open to candidates from both lean startups and larger CPG organizations the focus is on the ability to navigate competing priorities and drive outcomes.

Before joining Naviga, Janice amassed over 30 years of experience in sales, marketing, and management. This extensive background enables her to bring a fresh and innovative perspective to talent acquisition, challenging conventional approaches and driving continuous improvement. Her willingness to step up — whether managing marketing projects, improving KPI reporting, or supporting visual branding with content creation — has made her a versatile and invaluable team member.

In her current role as Associate Director of TA, Janice focuses on strategic sourcing, comprehensive KPI reporting, and administration of Naviga’s Applicant Tracking System to optimize process efficiency and data integrity. She also supports the firm’s operations by troubleshooting and managing logistics, and often fills in as a graphic designer to support the firm’s visual communication needs.

Janice embodies Naviga’s culture by fostering open, honest communication and bringing a balanced mix of professionalism and approachability.
