Job Description

The Opportunity

This is a critical, executive-level position responsible for managing, protecting, and enforcing the organization s global IP portfolio. You must be a hands-on litigator prepared to personally handle prosecution, defense, TTAB, and USPTO matters. This is a high-visibility, highly autonomous role within a flat organizational structure, reporting jointly to the General Counsel and COO.

What You Will Do

  • Proactively monitor for IP infringement across online and market activity.
  • Manage and execute enforcement actions, takedowns, and demand letters.
  • Directly perform hands-on litigation, including prosecution, defense, TTAB, and USPTO matters.
  • Manage any ongoing litigation matters and coordinate legal strategies.
  • Evaluate and maintain IP protections across multiple international jurisdictions.
  • Oversee and collaborate with outside counsel for contract review, research, and advisory services.

Who You Are

  • Must hold a U.S. law license (any state).
  • Strong, demonstrable litigation experience is required (not supervisory-only).
  • Ability to litigate in TTAB and relevant USPTO proceedings.
  • Broad IP experience covering patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
  • Proven ability to manage outside counsel and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with executive leadership.
  • International experience is strongly preferred.
The Ideal Candidate is a hands-on, litigation-focused IP Counsel with a broad understanding of patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. They must be prepared to personally handle the full spectrum of IP enforcement and defense, including TTAB and USPTO proceedings.
