The Opportunity

This is a high-impact Senior Controller role, reporting directly to the President and serving as one of three senior executive leaders. You will lead all aspects of the finance department , playing a critical, hands-on role in budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting for a fast-paced, distributed field service organization. This position is open due to a planned promotion of the current Controller to the parent company. You will be essential in maintaining financial integrity and driving performance during a period of significant growth and key system integrations.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the finance department and manage staff, including the Assistant Controller, accountants, and AR staff.
  • Oversee the complete Order to Cash (OTC) process, including customer data, AP/AR management, credit, collections, and cash application.
  • Direct all monthly financial close activities, ensuring correct financial positioning and working directly with executive and field operations leadership.
  • Lead the annual budget process and prepare monthly forecasts, including variance analysis and communicate results to leadership with recommendations for corrective measures.
  • Manage external financial compliance with federal, state, and municipal agencies, including legal, reporting, and tax requirements.
  • Act as the responsible business owner for maintaining the integrity of ERP systems (General Ledger, CRM, etc.), which includes leading current integration projects.
  • Maintain engagement with insurance providers (Workers Comp, Auto, GL, Healthcare) and manage the accurate financial position for these areas.
  • Oversee fleet budgeting, cost control, and compliance

Who You Are

  • A financial leader with 7 10 years of broad and progressive financial reporting, control, and accounting experience in a leadership role.
  • Proven ability to lead an entire finance team, including both direct and indirect reports.
  • Experience in a service industry organization, ideally structured around multiple branches or field operations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in forecasting, budgeting, and managing consolidated budgets in coordination with a parent company.
  • Strong focus on Order to Cash (OTC) processes and contract/agreement reviews (PO's, vendor, sub-contract, leases).
  • Highly preferred:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline, and CPA Certification or similar accounting qualifications.
    • A hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and balances accountability with coaching and development for a growing team.
    • Plus-Factors: Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce.

You have a proven track record leading a finance team in a distributed, multi-branch service organization. You can analyze and manage financial systems with a strong focus on the entire Order-to-Cash cycle. You are expected to quickly learn the business operations and make an immediate impact by driving the NetSuite and Salesforce integration projects forward. You will be an advocate for employee development and have the business acumen to help sustain the company's rapid growth
