The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a driven and results-oriented Account Executive to lead their expansion in the entertainment sector. This pivotal role is focused on identifying, prospecting, and closing new business opportunities with major studios, production companies, and media agencies. You'll be responsible for the entire sales cycle, from initial outreach to contract negotiation and closing.
You will be instrumental in growing the company's market share, building a robust sales pipeline, and establishing long-term relationships with key clients. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on the hunt and wants to make a direct impact on the company's growth in a dynamic and highly visible role.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to generate new leads and build a strong sales pipeline within the entertainment sector.
  • Conduct proactive outreach to key decision-makers at target companies through cold calling, email campaigns, networking, and industry events.
  • Lead discovery calls and product demonstrations to understand client needs and effectively communicate the value proposition of our SaaS platform.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to negotiation and closing new deals.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to refine sales materials, messaging, and go-to-market strategies based on market feedback.
  • Track and report on sales activities, pipeline, and key metrics to meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and new entertainment technologies to maintain a competitive edge.

Who You Are

  • A Hunter: You are highly motivated by the challenge of finding and closing new business. You have a track record of success in new business development, preferably in a SaaS or technology sales environment.
  • Consultative & Strategic: You excel at understanding complex business challenges and can present solutions that address specific client needs. You can think strategically and align sales activities with long-term company goals.
  • Exceptional Communicator: You can articulate a clear, compelling value proposition to a range of stakeholders, from technical teams to C-suite executives. You are persuasive, confident, and a great listener.
Ideal Candidate Profile We are seeking an Account Executive with proven experience selling SaaS solutions to entertainment or media clients. Candidates from parallel industries such as digital media, creative software, or B2B software with a successful history of building and closing new business will also be strongly considered.

Janice Martinez has been a key part of Naviga’s talent acquisition team for over four years. Her journey with the firm began uniquely as a part-time temporary Sourcer during the pandemic in 2020. Quickly recognized for her adaptability and broad skill set, Janice transitioned into a permanent role where she has taken on a dynamic range of responsibilities, contributing to many areas beyond traditional recruiting.

Before joining Naviga, Janice amassed over 30 years of experience in sales, marketing, and management. This extensive background enables her to bring a fresh and innovative perspective to talent acquisition, challenging conventional approaches and driving continuous improvement. Her willingness to step up — whether managing marketing projects, improving KPI reporting, or supporting visual branding with content creation — has made her a versatile and invaluable team member.

In her current role as Associate Director of TA, Janice focuses on strategic sourcing, comprehensive KPI reporting, and administration of Naviga’s Applicant Tracking System to optimize process efficiency and data integrity. She also supports the firm’s operations by troubleshooting and managing logistics, and often fills in as a graphic designer to support the firm’s visual communication needs.

Janice embodies Naviga’s culture by fostering open, honest communication and bringing a balanced mix of professionalism and approachability. She values the firm’s culture of autonomy and inclusivity, appreciating the trust and freedom Naviga provides its team members to take ownership and innovate.
